WVeCampus Privacy Statement

World Vision International ("WVI"), a relief, development, and advocacy organization with address at 800 W. Chestnut Avenue, Monrovia, California 91016 United States of America, provides this Privacy Notice and Notice of Data Transfer in keeping with our commitment to transparent communication regarding the processing of your personal data.

As a user of WV eCampus (WVeCampus), you have been asked to provide certain personal data to register for and use WVeCampus’ training modules. Your personal data, such as your name, email address, and your user profile data (including your learning activity, results and WVeCampus interactions) will be consolidated and stored by WVI and processed in a data file of which WVI is the data controller and located in Sydney, Australia. Data security and protection will be provided in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

World Vision International may have to transmit, share, or release your personal data to our reporting vendor, Intelliboard, Inc. located in United States of America. However, your personal data is not stored on their servers but collated into reports in real time as needed, drawing down from the data held in WVeCampus servers. Other than as stated herein, your personal data will not be disclosed to any other entity, or used for any other purpose, without obtaining your express consent to do so. WVI does not sell or exchange any personal data for use by marketing or employment agencies, or otherwise disclose such information to third parties, except as may be required by law or through voluntary cooperation with law enforcement authorities if we judge that such cooperation is necessary to protect WV’s legal interest.

You may have the right to access your personal data and to retrieve information related to how your data is being processed. You may also have the right to seek rectification in the case of inaccurate or incomplete data. Additionally, you may have the right to object to the processing of your data and request its cancellation. These rights of rectification, erasure, and objection can be legitimately denied in such circumstances provided for in the applicable data protection laws. You also have the right to report a complaint to a supervisory authority.

Your personal data may be stored in WVeCampus for up to 2 years after the date you last accessed WVeCampus, in accordance with and for such duration as may be determined by World Vision internal policies and applicable law. After such period, your information will be cancelled and removed from WVeCampus.

WVeCampus and Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of text sent to your web browser by a website you visit. A cookie file is stored in your web browser and allows the site or a third-party to recognise you and make your next visit easier and the site more useful to you. WVeCampus uses a Moodle base platform, which uses cookies to authenticate users, to help determine and identify repeat visitors, the type of content and sites to which a user of our site links, the length of time each user spends on any particular area of our site, and the specific functionalities that users choose to use. The WVeCampus site also uses Google Analytics to gather statistical information about web traffic to wvecampus.com. We may share aggregate statistical information (e.g., the number of visitors to our Web site), whether gathered by our Web servers or through submissions from visitors, with third parties. These statistics do not include personal information. Google Analytics is subject to the privacy policy of Google, Inc., which you can find on Google's website. As far as Google Analytics is concerned, the data is used to optimise our website for our visitors and does not include personally identifiable information.
